Sears Auto CS MXB 1000
Mamiya made cameras for Sears for a very long time and this is one of the final and best examples of that in the Sears Auto CS 1000 MXB 35mm. The Sears TLS is exactly the same camera as the Mamiya NC1000 and they are both great cameras. With heavy duty construction and the fantastic Mamiya lenses (Rebranded as Sears lenses to match the body) these are uncommon but few nice to use film SLR cameras.
This one is is in great shape over all with little to show that it's nearly 50 years old. As it's the 1000 MXB model it has a max shutter speed of 1/1000th of a second and in the more uncommon all black finish. The Shutter is still tank like and works just as it should at all speeds, the light meter is accurate and true and the camera works great. These models meter like the Mamiya SLRs of the era where you push the stop down lever on the body to get a good light meter reading and this one works great. The lens is a FANTASTIC one, the SEARS/Sekor CS 28mm f/2.8. which are sharp lenses very fast. The lens is clean and glass is clear, the aperture is oil free and stops down just as it should. Together this is a very usable camera and lens combo that can take great photos and is also a great add to a camera collection, load up film and go!
